Est. December 2023…
The Company of the Silent Dagger [MUTE] is an inclusive, casual guild for PvE in Guild Wars 2. Our goal is to make all content approachable for new, returning, and veteran players by engaging with all aspects of PvE! Several members are interested in harder content like CMs, and we include these when there is enough enthusiasm
Community Guidelines#
We are happy to have friends and guests join our Discord server and in-game events! Priority in all activities will be first given to guild members. In order to provide a safe and consistent environment for all players we ask that you follow these guidelines.
Be kind! Have fun!
General community#
Guild Wars 2 offers a wide variety of choices and play styles for each player to enjoy. We want our members to have a space to learn and grow at their own pace.
- If you happen to be experienced in more advanced or endgame content we encourage you to teach core mechanics rather than variants such as skips or breaks. Let new players appreciate the skips by understanding the original mechanics
- Elitism and trash talk will not be tolerated when participating in our community.
- Keep DPS and performance chatter to appropriate channels. See DPS chatter for details.
- No NSFW content.
- Abide by ANet’s terms of service and in-game rules.
DPS chatter#
DPS is an important part of the game!
And while we recognize this, we also don’t want players to feel undue pressure.
Therefore, we ask all discussion of DPS to be limited to appropriate channels in Discord (currently #build-talk).
If you are interested in your specific DPS numbers, or other performance metrics, you can install ArcDPS. If you do not want to install ArcDPS, you can ask your commander to provide a log. Logs are provided at request only.
Guild officers will never directly discuss your DPS or performance metrics without your explicit request. Exceptions to this include references to encounter specific mechanics, or challenging content. As our focus is on learning mechanics rather than specific numerical benchmarks, our officers will generally only advise on mechanical performance. Exceptions to this will be during challenging content where DPS plays a greater role.
Looking for group#
Our Discord provides several avenues for posting LFG requests. Please use the appropriate channel for your event and use pings! Server ping roles are opt-in. Please limit yourself to the appropriate ping(s).
Discord#
When joining guild hosted training events, we request all participants to join our voice channel. This makes it much easier for our commanders to teach and guide you. Participation without voice channel access is up to the commander’s discretion.
It is never required for you to speak. We only ask you join so that you can listen.
If you cannot join for any reason, please notify your commander.
Guild Member Guidelines#
All guild members are expected to follow our community guidelines in addition to what is listed here. Guild expectations around participation or activity are loosely enforced until the in-game guild membership cap is reached.
Requirements#
- Respectful and considerate behavior.
- Pay it forward. Offer to help others where you can, ask for help when you need it.
- Be present at one guild hosted event at least once per month.
We understand that life gets hard.
If you cannot make it to guild events or play consistently, that does not mean you are out of the guild.
Just send a message in the guild Discord #long-goodbyes to let us know you need to step away.
If you find yourself removed and want to come back, reach out to a guild officer.
Want to join?#
Provided we have room on the roster, we are excited for you to join us! Contact a guild officer in the Discord to get invited.
